The league was started sometime in the early 1970's.  It's probably one of the longest running leagues in the city, if not in the Province.

The intention of the league was to provide entertainment for people who worked in the Food industry.... this included wholesalers, distributors & retailers.

Up until the 1990's, you had to work in the Food industry to curl in this league... there were no exceptions.

It is currently just a commercial league for novice or experienced curlers.  The main goal is to have fun.

We accept single players who wish to curl or we accept complete teams.  Our maximum is 12 teams which suits the 6 sheets of ice at the Highland.

We start curling the first Sat. after Thanksgiving.  We finish before Easter.

Fees for 2006-07 year are $145/person (approx. 20 games)
